About us

Diversity of Nursing is a trusted healthcare provider in Brabant with a focus on psychiatry and social determinants. Our goal is to achieve positive health outcomes in our clients and create a healthy working and learning environment.

Mission

Diversity of Nursing provides culturally sensitive, outpatient psychiatric care in the Brabant region. We look beyond the psychiatric complaint and focus on the social, societal and economic factors that influence mental health. Together with our clients and their families, we help them regain control of their lives, participate independently in society and find their way in the Dutch (healthcare) system. Every care need is unique and requires a tailor-made approach. When our care recipients are mentally fitter, more resilient and independent(er), we have achieved our goal and conclude responsibly.

Vision

We believe that mental health is inextricably linked to social, economic and societal conditions. By paying explicit attention to social determinants, working in a community-oriented way and strengthening health skills, we contribute to reducing socioeconomic health inequalities. Working relationally, paying attention to cultural aspects and focusing on human needs and their context is a basic attitude for us. We believe that everyone is entitled to equal opportunities in mental health. That is why we work in a diagnosis-free way.

What others say about us

We are very satisfied with the care provided by Randa Ourahou of Diversity of Nursing for our 18-year-old daughter with autism care needs. She provides guidance with a very respectful and personal touch, knows how to make subtle and tactful contact and what is really more than a plus for us is that she is available and accessible at all times in case of emergencies. You notice from everything that Randa is knowledgeable and personally involved. She is all about helping the person, really providing quality care and being there for the other person. She is flexible and there is plenty of room to come up with the right formulation of set goals together and deal with them concretely in practice. She teaches our daughter by doing and experiencing together and makes our daughter feel truly seen and heard. For us, Randa's guidance enriches the quality of life of our daughter and our family!

Thank you for your support, without you it would be very difficult for me. You help me deal with my problem and I am very grateful for that! -and as for wishes, I wish you had more such specialists like My psychologist, she is a very sensitive and responsive person, she is young but a very wise psychologist, I am infinitely grateful to her, I think you have a lot of such professionals. I have post-traumatic syndrome. I contracted it during the war in Ukraine. Three years ago I came to the Netherlands with my family, my wife and our two children. They were ten years old, they are twins! Without your help I wouldn't have made it, you gave me and my family a second life! I know I will be fine because I am getting expert help from the medical staff! May God bless you all! And I also work in a company where the main material is real leather, I am a shoe maker ----- thank you Holland for your support!

I would like to express my enormous gratitude to psychologist Randa. She is a highly qualified specialist who helped our family through an incredibly difficult period. Randa provided invaluable support to my brother in dealing with his mental illness and continues to guide him to this day. In addition, she has also helped me cope with the enormous stress this situation caused. Randa is an exceptionally warm, empathetic and helpful person. She has the rare talent of getting straight to the heart of the problem and finding just the right words. We greatly appreciate her commitment and her sincere, attentive approach.

Hi, welcome to our website!

My name is Randa Ourahou. I am a - of Riffin origin - mental health nurse specialist and owner of Diversity of Nursing.

My heart lies, since the age of 19 , in providing good psychiatric care and equal health opportunities. I have always been incredibly curious to find an answer to the question: ‘’how do mental health problems arise in people and what factors play a role in them?’’. The only way to answer this question was to talk to people, specialise in mental health care and be open to people in the context in which they live and grew up.

Meanwhile, I believe that - among many other factors - social, economic and societal factors play a very large role. For this reason, the focus within Diversity of Nursing is on providing psychiatric care mainly to people with significant socio-economic challenges. These include people who grew up and live in difficult circumstances, refugees displaced due to war, migrant workers who came here for a purpose but still get stuck, and status holders who need to start again from scratch but find this more difficult than they had hoped.

I do my work with great dedication. Within Diversity of Nursing, I am responsible for content and strategic management. Do you have a question, tip, top, or just want to meet? Then contact us in a low-threshold way, you are most welcome.

Kind regards, Randa
